In this issue, we have the latest from ISCM World Music Days, some events news as well as many opportunities for composers. The Indaba programme in July is being planned and further details will be announced as soon as possible. The curator is planning to publish the full programme on our website within the next week, so watch this space. There are already several exciting events, including concerts and workshops, being planned.

Recently, some of you may have seen the link to an article about performances of South African composers given by the New Julliard Ensemble (NJE) in New York. It was indeed good news that South African composers were represented, perhaps for the first time giving credibility to new music from this country. However, an unfortunate debate has arisen concerning the role of NewMusicSA as a result of a questionnaire sent out by the NJE Director, Joel Sachs.
