Please see the following information for concerts by members of NewMusicSA: Jill Richards in collaboration with Marcus Neustetter performing new music at the Market Theatre from Tuesday 02 to Sunday 14 October; and the forthcoming première of Gamboge by Ross Dowkins, on Signal Hill in Cape Town — additionally, please see www.thesometimes.co.za/here/gamboge.php, as Ross Dowkins’s performance planned for 29 September 2012 has been postponed.

Unyazi 2012: Die Schrauber live in Potchefstroom

Hailed by their critics as “fiercely intrepid improvisers”, the trio Die Schrauber produces a wide variety of dense musical textures and high-energy interaction. With veteran circuit bender Joker Nies (Cologne), sampling artist Mario deVega (Berlin) and Hans Tammen (New York) on Endangered Guitar and live sound processing, the trio exerts extreme control over their bizarre instruments.

Special Concerts: Unyazi 2012 artists perform in Johannesburg, Potchefstroom and Cape Town

We hope to see you all at Unyazi but if you’re in Joburg/Potch/Cape Town and can’t make Durban, or if you’d like to hear more from our Unyazi artists, here’s an opportunity to catch some of the action.
